Museum References.

I have finally printed off the rest of my reference pictures (we ran out of ink - booo). I don't usually use them anymore and it is something I need to get use to again. Someone at uni will be pleased! But when it comes to creating art that is based on a real object, I feel more at ease being able to use photos. Of course if I could sit and look at the object for real then I would, but unfortunately I can't. If only I was back at college. For my 'Final Major Project' I drew hundreds of little drawings from random objects (from biscuits to fake birds) and on a couple of occassions, I got to visit the museum (which is where I got these images from) and just sit and draw. Those moments at the museum were my favourite from the whole year.

Today I have been a lazy art student and not drawn anything, sorry! I bet you're all fed up of this elephant-ness. I'm hoping I won't get fed up of it. The elephant skull is the most enjoyable object I have ever drawn. Knowing my luck I shall ruin it for myself by overdoing it. I have a limited set of references, I'm not sure if this is good or not? But I know that each time I return to work from it, I will see something different within it, which is great! It's exactly the same if I had the skull infront of me and it's the same with all skulls I have worked with. Anyway, I'll stop rambling, if you have made it this far, then I congratulate you and thank you. You can now return to your shenanigans.
