Sculpture repainting. ‘Blue Rock’ aka the ‘Golden Hole’ now,
thanks to Sophie, it was a funny moment. I decided that I needed to have
another sculpture that had the wiggly lines to help fit in with my
work, instead of the ‘Orange Sand’ sculpture. The options were to either
create another sculpture in time for assessment hand in or repaint one I
had already created. I went for the easier option as you can see. I
repainted my successfully non-crumbly sculpture in shades of blue. This
will help bring my work together with the paintings that will be
presented on the wall behind the sculptures and won’t look out of place.
I’ll take better pictures when it’s dry and show you them later.
While eating my marshmallows to make me happy (not that I wasn’t not happy), someone said I should put them in my sculptures hole, so I did. Could this possibly be used as a method of bribery? Haha I’m joking of course, or am I?…
My ‘alien’ sculpture has also been a success after its heavy dose of glue coating. It doesn’t crumble when you stoke it anymore, also the base is still a bit iffy. I think it looks quite good, even if I do say so myself. I thought I would see what it would look like on the stand and I reckon if I didn’t have the wiggly line thing going on, I would present this piece. But my god is it heavy! I’ll have to think about what happens to it after assessment, because I’m not sure if I’d manage to get it home in one piece, it will most likely end up up broken on the floor.
