Rusty old bed springs. Whilst working outside yesterday creating another sculpture, there were a lot of materials around and this caught my eye. It was a few slices of a mattress that had lost its cover and filling, and had been left to the elements. The shapes, the circles and spirals were mesmerising and the colour, oh the colour (which is not best represented in this photo) was an amazing orange. This would be an interesting object to work with, I assume I now say this because of my new found fondness for sculpture.
