We went for day out at Whipsnade Zoo on the bank holiday weekend just gone. These are a few snaps I took on my mobile (that’s why the quality’s not great). I was going to take my camera, but I wanted to enjoy myself, spend time with my boyfriend, his mum and his sister, and not be worrying whether or not I got a good photo. It was an awesome day that filled me with happiness and inspiration. The weather was gorgeous, the sun was shining and there was a light breeze.
I unfortunately got sun burnt though, on the top half of my face and didn’t even know until people told me. Then when I got back I found that I had also burnt my shoulders and the top of my arms. Silly me didn’t even think to put sun cream on (not that I had any). Thankfully, it’s better and hasn’t started peeling. I want to go to the zoo again! I loved it! I’m hoping to use a few of the pictures to work from them and do a few more drawings in my sketchbook. I think some colour would be appropriate for some of them, but stupidly I packed away my arty things and parents took them home. All I have are watercolours pencils, but I’m not very good at working with them, I don’t have the right paper to use them on. I might have to buy something or just wait.
